Score vs press, make them pay for it & want/need to come out of it. Will that work for us vs UNC or FSU? Not likely speeding up game. Will it work vs teams that don’t press normally but think that’s how to beat us? Yeah probably. Fact is VERY few ACC tesms play the style of D Dayton, Memphis and Xavier do. Styles make fights. (This is why the Wake defensive collapse by us was maddening. Their style shouldn’t have beaten us like it did…we just didn’t show up defensively for the only time all year then that affected us offensively)

You can’t do that asking any PG to simply dribble up court. N’Guessan or Aluma could for example be outlets as they’re more likely to be guarded by guys they can beat in open court via dribble

But mostly I’d like to see a structured press break involving movement, screening to get a clear passing lane to middle of court around jump circle. Goal is to get the ball there as quickly as possible, turn & go & see if we have a 3 on 1 or 2; if not, settle into early offense should be with 24 seconds or more on shot clock instead of 18-20 when we get ball to top of key area
